— BIOGRAPHY —
— Concept and Creation —
The name Glorio seems to come from Gloriosa, a genus of flowers.
- APPEARANCE -
Glorio is a pale man with blue skin, spiky white hair, and yellow eyes. As a demon, his ears are pointy. He wears a white shirt, a black sash around his waist, a purple bomber jacket, blue pants with white lining, and black boots. He also wears a light brown holster with a silver buckle attached to his hip, and has a slender build.
- PERSONALITY -
Throughout most of his appearances, Glorio is shown to be a soft-spoken and mysterious man, showing little to no emotion and almost always appearing serious. Especially due to his undercover work for Dr. Arinsu, he reveals very little about himself and his true mission, which arouses suspicion in Shin during the group's journey through the Demon Worlds.
He is thoroughly knowledgeable about most things in the Demon Realm, informing Goku about the flora and fauna, using his street smarts to navigate the more primitive areas of the Third Demon World, and only employing force when necessary, remaining discreet. He quickly recognizes Shin as a Glind and, following Dr. Arinsu's instructions, learned the Namekian language to grant him his wish. He is also a skilled pilot, able to operate various types of aircraft in the Demon Worlds.
Despite his mission, Glorio does not seem to enjoy working for Dr. Arinsu. He seems to prefer her to Degesu and Gomah, as he was willing to work for her behind her back, but remains rather dissatisfied with the Demon Realm's higher-ups. After spending time with the Dragon Team, he began to show strong doubts about continuing to work for Arinsu, delaying the summoning of Porunga from the Demon Realm and granting her wish.
Although Glorio is usually calm and collected, he still retains his own sense of pride. He becomes very irritated with Goku for continually mispronouncing his name, believing it to be on purpose, though it appears to be a legitimate mistake on Goku's part, as he pronounces Glorio's name correctly after being restored to adulthood, but mispronounces it again when they return home from the Demon Realm. When Goku tells Glorio that he will take care of the Minotaur, as it is too strong for him, Glorio is insulted that Goku would underestimate him and challenges the Saiyan to a duel to prove his strength. As he watches Goku go Super Saiyan 4 giving it his all, Glorio is insulted that Goku would underestimate him and challenges the Saiyan to a duel to prove his strength.
- PERSONALITY -
As Glorio watches Super Saiyan 4 Goku go all out against Gomah the Third Evil Eye, Glorio becomes motivated to make another stand alongside Piccolo and raises his magical power to greater heights in an Energy Clash with Gomah.
Upon making a wish from the Demon Realm of Porunga, Glorio recalls his adventure with Goku, and the gang convinces him to change his mind, eventually betraying Dr. Arinsu in order for the Dragon Team to return to adulthood. After being dismissed by Dr. Arinsu for sharing a common goal and willing to let the betrayal slide if it meant Gomah's defeat, Glorio was initially hesitant to return to his former allies due to his deception and betrayal of their trust, but was welcomed back with open arms by everyone. He even sheds his usual cold demeanor and becomes more calm and expressionless around his allies. He even shared a smile with Goku after he finally pronounced his name correctly.
- BACKGROUND -
Glorio hails from the Third Demon World. At some point in the past, Glorio was rescued by Dr. Arinsu and began living in the First Demon World, working for her. In anticipation of her plan to obtain the Dragon Balls from the Demon Realm, Glorio learned the Namekian language for Arinsu.
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
— Goku, Glorio and Shin head to the Demon Realm:
Inside the Demon King's Palace, Glorio hides behind a pillar, spying on Gomah, Degesu, and Dr. Arinsu's conversation. Two days later, he arrived at the Lookout to recruit Goku and defeat Gomah, claiming to be under the orders of the King of the Third Demon World. Shin also volunteered, as did Piccolo and Vegeta, though only Shin was allowed to go as his plane only had three seats. He then departed for the Demon Realm with Goku and Shin.
— DBD: 3 13
Glorio and the others enter a local bar:
Beginning their journey to the Demon Realm, Glorio pilots a Demon Realm plane to its first destination, a Warp Siren located on Planet Batapi which acts as a transit point between Outworld and the Demon Realm. Glorio gives the appropriate pin number, the trio is taken away though unfortunately Shin is unable to contact Kibito in time to give him the pin number. Inside the relay point between the two realms, Glorio explains to Goku that the Demon Realm is composed of three different worlds. Just then a band of bandits armed with bows and arrows attack Goku though Glorio is quick to scare them off with his weapon. Boarding the ship, Glorio heads to a village where they can spend the night before seeing King Kadan the next day. After arriving, the trio heads to a nearby hotel where the owner attempts to charge them exorbitant prices for two rooms until Glorio successfully bargains for a much cheaper price after showing him his holstered weapon. The next morning, after checking out of the hotel, the small group heads to Glorio's plane, but discovers it has disappeared, with a note tied to an axe in its place.
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
— Glorio brings out a demonic beast:
With their plane stolen, Glorio, Goku, and Shin continue their journey on foot as the environment is too difficult for flying. They encounter the Sea of Darkness and fly over it until a Demon Beast appears to eat Goku. Glorio kicks the beast back into the sea and they continue onward until Goku senses an ambush lurking. A giant Demon appears from behind a rock and Goku takes it out with a single kick. Glorio questions Goku about how he knew the Demon was hiding and learns about Ki, a type of invisible energy and a concept Glorio has never heard of before.
— DBD: Ep 4 07
Glory in the seed of heaven:
They then arrive at a tea shop to take a break to get something to eat. Glorio asks the owner for a plane, but he doesn't have one and instead offers a Sky Seed. Before leaving the shop, Goku has Glorio buy him some Medi Bugs and they board the Sky Seed and launch themselves into the air. However, Glorio, Goku, and Shin jump on it before it falls into the Sea of Darkness. They then arrive at a village where the Gendarmerie demands higher offerings from the locals or they give up part of their lifespan. They then see a masked figure try to interfere, but is forced to flee until Goku intervenes and causes a scene. Glorio, Goku, and Shin quickly escape to the outskirts of the village where they once again encounter the masked individual who reveals his identity and introduces himself as Panzy.
When Panzy questions Goku's identity, Glorio is quick to point out that he comes from the Second Demon World to avoid unnecessary questions and suspicion. The three begin to walk away, but Goku accidentally lets slip that they are heading to Kadan Castle, so Panzy invites herself along despite Glorio's request that she not follow them. Eventually, Glorio, Goku, Shin, and Panzy arrive at Kadan Castle, where they discover that Panzy is
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
where they discover that Panzy is the princess and daughter of King Kadan. Upon entering, they meet the King, who is shocked by Goku's feats and that he had turned into a child, revealing to Shin that Glory had lied, making the Kaio-sama more suspicious of him. In any case, after proving to him that Goku was the one who defeated Majin Buu, they receive a plane and supplies along with Panzy joining them. However, moments after taking off, the engine begins to fail and the plane crashes to the ground due to the heavy load.
— The group makes a forced landing.:
After unloading the plane and having Panzy fix it, Glorio, Shin, and Panzy are confronted by two Gendarmerie soldiers looking for Goku, who has to use the bathroom, and ask him which world they are from. Glorio says he is from the First, Shin says he is from the Second, and Panzy reluctantly reveals the necklace around his neck, meaning he is from the Third. The officers ask if they have seen Goku, and Glorio lies, saying he has not. Satisfied, the officers leave just as Goku returns from the bushes. The group continues flying, and Glorio listens as Shin explains the origins of the Glinds to Panzy and Goku. As night falls, Panzy offers to take a turn piloting the plane, but Glorio decides it is best they rest for the night. They camp in a cave, and Panzy questions if Glorio was really from the First Demon World, which he confirms by saying that he was hired to work there. Panzy wonders who hired him, but Glorio interrupts their conversation. When everyone has fallen asleep, Glorio leaves to contact Arinsu and let her know they'll be arriving in the First Demon World in a few days. Arinsu asks Glorio to contact her if anything happens.
— DBD Ep6 04
Glorio trains with Goku:
Early in the morning, Shin and Glorio wake up with shaky steps and a foul stench. Panzy and Goku wake up when a giant Minotaur arrives and roars at them.
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
Glorio offers to face the Minotaur, but Goku intervenes, saying he'll fight. The two argue over who will face him and end up having their own match to decide who will fight the Minotaur. Goku ups the ante by stating that he will fight with one arm. The battle begins with Goku and Glorio exchanging blows and dodging each other's moves. Glorio deploys another tactic using his own Magic.
— Glorio uses his magic:
Goku watches as Glorio raises his finger and a white ball of energy emerges with purple thunder that begins to spark. He launches the attack as Goku dodges, leaving a smoking crater in the ground. Goku flies at Glorio, dodging all of his lightning bolts. The energy pole extends, striking Glorio in the stomach and sending him flying into a nearby rock face. Glorio responds, launching an electric whip that knocks the energy pole out of Goku's hands. As Glorio charges up an even stronger blast, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan and blocks Glorio's attack with an open-handed strike. Goku then teleports behind Glorio, putting his hand behind his back and Glorio gives up, stating that Goku wins and asking if he has any other special abilities. As the Minotaur retreats back into the cave, the group prepares to leave, but Goku needs to poop again.
— DBD Ep 7 03
Glorio and company are harassed by the Gendarmerie:
Glorio, Goku, Shin, and Panzy continue their journey towards Tamagami when they are suddenly approached by the Gendarmerie who demand that they land the plane as they are still in search of a small boy with spiky hair and a cane who attacked them earlier. Complying with their demands, Glorio lands the plane and Goku heads to the back to hide. After Glorio, Panzy, and Shin leave the plane, the Gendarmerie search the plane but find nothing due to Goku using Instant Transmission. However,
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
Glorio hesitates to approach due to having hidden his association with Dr. Arinsu and his true objective. However, Panzy happily runs up to him, pulling him forward as the others thank him, including Goku, who calls him by his correct name for the first time.
— DBD Ep 20 13:
Gloria destroys the Third Evil Eye:
Finally, after much difficulty, Gomah is defeated when Kuu extracts the Third Eye from his head and Glorio quickly steps on him. After the battle, Gomah and Degesu are sealed for 99 years and Kuu becomes the new Supreme Demon King for being the one who defeated Gomah. Kuu's first act is to appoint several ministers, from which Glorio is selected along with Duu, King Kadan, Neva, and Marba. After the battle, everyone returns to Kadan Castle in the Third Demon World and, after saying goodbye to Goku and his friends, Glorio pilots the plane to begin the return to Earth.
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
When soldiers attempt to arrest Panzy on suspicion of being the masked individual, Glorio, Shin, and Goku defeat them and destroy their planes. They then continue their journey using one of the Gendarmerie's planes after theirs was destroyed in battle and arrive at a village where Tamagami Number Three is located. Glorio watches Goku defeat Tamagami Number Three to claim the Three-Star Dragon Ball and secretly contacts Dr. Arinsu to tell her the news. They then board the plane and head to Sir Warp to travel to the Second Demon World.
Along the way, the group ends up spending the night in a hotel, as Panzy desperately needed a bath. However, during the night, two thieves steal their hard-earned Dragon Ball, forcing Goku to chase them down. Goku manages to retrieve it, and Glorio arrives just in time to use his whip-like Magic Thunder, catching the two bandits before throwing them away.
— DBD: 12 11
Glory in the Second Demon World:
The next morning, they reboard the plane and take off. They arrive at the Sir Warp and head to the Second Demon World, where they are soon attacked by the Gendarmerie once again. Glorio uses his skills as a pilot while Goku proceeds to shoot down the planes using his Power Pole. They then join Neva along with Vegeta and his group consisting of Bulma, Piccolo, and Hybis and Glorio watches from the sidelines as Vegeta defeats Tamagami Number Two and claims his Dragon Ball. Later, after making an unscheduled stop on Planet Mega , Glorio contacts Dr. Arinsu again to inform her that they have acquired another Dragon Ball.
— DBD 17 10:
Glory in the First Demon World:
After Neva removes the barrier surrounding the Demon Realm Tunnel, Glorio steers the plane towards the First Demon World but loses control of the plane, causing everyone to abandon it. Before they even touch the ground,
— DRAGON BALL DAIMA SAGA —
The group is attacked by the Gendarmerie, but Glorio and his overpowered allies make a hasty retreat. After arriving at the Demon King's Palace, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Shin head inside the palace while the others wait outside. However, Glorio and Hybis decide to follow them and upon witnessing Degesu holding Dende hostage, grabs Hybis's new hat and, hiding behind a cover, throws it at him, causing Degesu to stagger and giving Piccolo the opportunity to knock him down. They subsequently tie Degesu up and take him away.
Upon returning, they decide to head to Tamagami No. 1, where Goku and his group encounter Dr. Arinsu, Majin Duu, and Majin Kuu. Shortly after, Goma emerges from his palace, having obtained the Third Evil Eye. Due to his overwhelming strength, Goku suggests they attack together, while he is joined by Piccolo, Shin, and Glorio. Even working together, the group finds no leverage and is defeated. Glorio can do nothing but watch as his more powerful comrades do most of the fighting.
— DBD Ep 18 06:
Glorio is reluctant to follow Dr. Arinsu's orders.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arinsu contacts Glorio and asks him to gather the three Dragon Balls and bring them to her. After doing so, Glorio reluctantly summons the dragon and Dr. Arinsu pushes Glorio to make a wish for her to become the next Supreme King with the greatest magical power and after more hesitation, Glorio begins to make her wish. After speaking to the dragon in the Namekian language, Goku, Vegeta, and the others are restored to their rightful ages as the Dragon says his goodbyes and disappears along with the orbs. Glorio apologizes to Dr. Arinsu for betraying her. She sends him off and tells him to leave, but before doing so, Glorio thanks Dr. Arinsu for everything he had done and runs over to the others. Glorio is hesitant to approach due to having hidden his association with Dr. Arinsu and his true identity.

- FORCE -
Although Glorio is a skilled fighter, he doesn't seem very adept with his ki. Instead, he prefers to use his weapon and magic when he gets serious.
Glorio easily defeats several demonic bandits in seconds and takes down a giant Demon Beast, impressing Goku to the point that he believed he would surpass Shin, though with the level of power he displayed, Goku believed he could not defeat a Minotaur.
When fighting Mini Goku in his base form, who is limited to the use of only one arm, he is able to pressure Goku with his hand-to-hand combat and Magic, despite not giving it his all, earning him some praise from Goku. When the two start to get serious, neither gains a clear advantage over the other, with Glorio quickly recovering from Goku's attack and disarming him. Against Super Saiyan Goku, Glorio is outmatched, with Goku canceling his strongest attack with an open hand strike (though before launching it, Goku is unsure if he can stop it) and then placing his palm on Glorio's back before he can react.
Later, Glorio proves capable of overpowering the Gendarmerie soldiers. Against Gomah, he is completely outmatched, but manages (along with Piccolo) to momentarily match one of Gomah's energy blasts in an Energy Clash.
