(Uravity) Ochaco Uraraka

Ochaco Uraraka (麗うらら日かお茶ちゃ子こ Uraraka Ochako ?), also known as Uravity (ウラビティ Urabiti ?), was a student in Class 1-A at UA Academy, where she trained to become a Professional Hero.

Other students have described Ochaco as "the most relaxed girl" in her class, being very bubbly and somewhat airheaded at times. She is often incredibly blunt without realizing it. Like Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she is often amused by certain personality traits and quirks that others exhibit, sometimes bursting into laughter, which she tries to suppress. Ochaco is a very warm and lively person who thinks positively about everything, though she is objective enough to see flaws as well as virtues. She is generally empathetic, friendly to those she meets, and will try to help or stand up for anyone who is kind to her or in need. Ochaco seems to be very good at reading people, understanding the reasons for Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo's rivalry and being the first to notice when Tsuyu Asui was upset. Her empathy and kindness are also seen in how well she gets along with her classmates. She is on good terms with everyone and is particularly close friends with several members of the class, including Izuku, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu, etc. Despite her generally cheerful and sometimes giddy demeanor, Ochaco can adopt an extremely determined, focused, and somewhat intimidating attitude when the situation calls for it. This side may come as a surprise to those accustomed to her bubbly nature and tends to emerge during competitive situations such as the UA Sports Festival. While she is shown to be surprisingly strategic, she is not above making some impulsive or reckless decisions. When it comes to her chosen path as a Hero, Ochaco is unwavering and does not like to be underestimated, even in the face of overwhelming strength.

Coming from a poor home, Ochaco is easily excited or surprised by small things, even losing her composure when faced with real luxury, to the point of fainting. Bonus materials have depicted her as frugal and occasionally stingy, as she goes to great lengths to save money, including sleeping to avoid wasting oxygen or skipping meals to save food. Ochaco's parents are her main motivation to become a hero, and she desires, above all, to earn money to provide a comfortable life for them. She is unabashedly honest about her priorities and makes no secret of her pursuit of heroism, largely due to money, despite her embarrassment in admitting it. While money was a deciding factor in her decision to become a hero, Ochaco dreamed of becoming one before realizing her father's reach.

In terms of heroism, Ochaco has shown a greater preference for rescue, becoming a fan of No. 13 for his expertise in the field. She is aware of her physical limitations and decides to choose the combat-oriented hero Gunhead for her internship in order to expand her fighting repertoire. Consequently, Ochaco has developed a new sense of battle awareness and has become a more instinctive fighter.

Ochaco is also greatly inspired by her classmates, especially Izuku, whom she finds admirable for both his strength and compassion. Ochaco has developed a crush on him due to this and their close friendship, resulting in her attempts to follow his example, for better or worse. While he inspires her, Ochaco also recognizes that heroism takes precedence over her romantic feelings, and does her best to continue growing while keeping them in check. Izuku has also led her to consider the question of who protects heroes when they are in need, as he continually throws himself into dangerous situations; this prominently displays how deeply Ochaco cares for him and others.

Ochaco is a short girl with a slim but feminine build. She has fair skin and a perpetual blush on her cheeks. Her eyes are large and round, her hair is a warm brown, with fairly thick upper eyelashes, two longer, more prominent ones sticking outward on either side, and fewer lower eyelashes, but more pronounced individually.

Shoulder-length and nearly the same color as her eyes, her hair is wavy and curls inward at the ends, with two longer strands that take the same shape on either side of her face and short bangs that reach about a quarter of her height in front. On the upper inner segment of each of her toes, she has a small pink pad, which somewhat resembles a cat's toe or a dog's paw that she uses when activating and deactivating her Quirk.

During school she wears the normal UA uniform, only with black tights instead of the knee-high socks worn by her other classmates.

Her Hero Costume consists of a full-body black bodysuit with a pale pink design on half of her torso, two black circles on her chest, and a black rectangle below her waist running between her legs. There are two more pink patches above her shoulders, both cut by darker pink armbands that match the thick choker around her neck. She has circular wristbands, a dark pink handle on the back of each, wide knee-high boots with magenta soles and a two-piece belt around her waist, an inlaid circle in the center where the pieces meet, a helmet with a tinted visor sometimes worn on her head, all of which are the same pale pink color. The accessories are designed to press on her acupuncture points, and the stiffness of her costume's skin is apparently a mistake due to her not being specific in her design request. His costume is updated during the events of the Endeavor Agency arc. The belt around his waist has been altered. His arm gauntlets have been replaced, with rings protruding from the side, and he no longer has a glass visor in front of his face.

General Abilities: At first glance, Ochaco does not appear to be one of the strongest combatants, but over the course of her time with UA, she has drastically improved her combat skill to become a very capable combatant. Ochaco's primary battle tactic consists of using her skillful Quirk handling to directly affect her opponents by getting close enough to make contact with them through her fingers. Consequently, this causes her targets to continually float and lose their balance, severely limiting, if not eliminating, their fighting ability.

When not engaging an opponent in close combat, Ochaco often takes advantage of devastated areas by using her Quirk to scavenge the wreckage without an opponent noticing, all while expertly exploiting the collateral damage of a destructive Quirk. Ochaco can unleash floating debris upon enemies as a long-range projectile attack or remove the weight from certain heavy structures, holding them down to use as an improvised melee weapon. This ability to easily clear disaster zones also makes her useful for rescue missions. Ochaco can use Zero Gravity to eliminate her own weight while increasing her body's agility, render allies weightless so they can be carried, and create decoys by making objects levitate slightly off the ground.

During the USJ incident, Ochaco was able to temporarily immobilize Kurogiri, giving Hanta Sero and Rikido Sato an opening to subdue the villain. Ochaco has also proven her worth at the UA Sports Festival, when she faced off against Katsuki, despite being at a disadvantage at close range, and knowing that Katsuki's skills far exceeded her own, Ochaco managed to take him by surprise a few times during their battle, as well as pressure him into using his full power, even if it was just for an instant.

After the Sports Festival, she trained with Gunhead to improve her hand-to-hand combat skills, becoming even more formidable. Ochaco also possesses keen senses and quick reflexes, such as when Himiko Toga attempted to attack her, she reacted quickly enough to dodge and pin her to the ground. Ochaco's overall skills make her one of the strongest hand-to-hand combatants in her class. Ochaco's abilities attracted the attention of Nejire Hado, the third strongest student of AU and one of the Big Three, who recommended both Ochaco and Tsuyu to intern at his side under the tutelage of Ryukyu, the No. 10 Heroine (formerly No. 9). Even with their stamina depleted, Ochaco along with Tsuyu and Nejire were able to effectively assist Ryukyu against Rikiya Katsukame, one of the Shie Hassaikai.

During the team sparring match, Ochaco was able to subdue the unpredictable and cunning Neito Monoma, immobilizing the latter's attempt to replicate Izuku's Quirk. When an immobilized Neito attempted to use Reiko Yanagi's copied Quirk to throw a metal pipe at Ochaco, his quick reflexes allowed him to effortlessly dodge the surprise attack. Ochaco was then able to quickly defeat Reiko Yanagi and Yui Kodai with a single attack each.

Gunhead Martial Arts (ガンヘッド マーシャル アーツ Ganheddo Māsharu Ātsu?): When working under Gunhead, Ochaco was trained in martial arts to more effectively attack at close range benefiting her Quirk in combat. She has mastered various forms of grappling, takedowns, and spears through the use of force, including forcing her opponents back against themselves. Her skill is enough to easily dispatch an opponent who attempts to stab and incapacitate her, as shown with No. 13 a Pro Hero and Himiko a C-Rank Villain. Enhanced Stamina: Through intense training, Ochaco gained great physical stamina. Ochaco was able to withstand powerful blasts from Katsuki during their fight and when much of her stamina was stolen by a Trigger-enhanced Rikiya, Ochaco was still able to stand and fight the Yakuza member for 20 minutes until the Trigger wore off and the Ryukyu Squad defeated him.

Tactical Intellect: While not the most academically proficient in her class, Ochaco possesses a strategic mind that is capable of deducing an enemy's weaknesses and fighting style shortly after a battle begins. Ochaco likely developed this to help cover up for her initial lack of combat skills. While Kurogiri was trying to subdue Tenya Iida, Ochaco noticed Kurogiri's neck armor, realizing it was a weak point, allowing Hanta Sero and Rikido Sato to briefly subdue the villain and giving Tenya the opportunity to obtain reinforcements from UA.

Her strategic ability is sometimes questioned or credited by others, and Katsuki hints at this by recalling that she was Izuku's friend from his Meteor Shower attempt, and he assumed that she had advised her. Conversely, Ochaco has shown great strategic ability in her own right, as seen when she rejected Izuku's offer of help during the Sports Festival. Katsuki himself noted that it was a close call for him when he had to use his full power to neutralize Ochaco's strategy, implying that had he not noticed her Meteor Shower technique, Ochaco would have defeated him. She was also able to discern that the clocks on Neito's hero suit are how he checks the time limits of the Quirks he has copied.

Zero Gravity (無重力ゼログラビティ Zero Gurabiti?): Ochaco's Quirk allows her to remove the effects of gravity from solid things (both living and non-living) by touching them with her fingertips. She is able to activate or cancel the effects of her Quirk by closing her fingers.

Targets lose their gravitational pull the moment Ochaco makes contact with them, rendering the object or objects touched weightless. Ochaco can cause any solid object to float in the air as long as it is within her Quirk's weight limit, which is around three tons.

As part of her training, Ochaco entered a plastic sphere that would fall down a mountain, all in an effort to accustom her inner ear canals to zero gravity and reduce nausea, all while increasing the amount of weight she could lift.

Super moves Release (解除 Kaijo?): Ochaco can press her fingers together and make what she has touched float stop. This move is first used against villainous robots and when she saved Izuku from falling to his death in the UA Entrance Exam. Meteor Avalanche (メテオストーム Meteosutōmu Kaijo): After floating a large amount of debris around her, Ochaco can collect collaterally damaged structures, forming a giant meteor of debris above her opponents which then causes them to fall. She first used this move during her match against Katsuki Bakugo. Meteor Fafrotskies (メテオファフロッキーズ Meteo Fafurokkīzu ?): Together with Tsuyu, the two of them stand up and throw various debris at targets. It is a stronger, multi-range version of Meteor Shower. This move was first used against two villains with Gigantification Quirks during the internships.

Home Run Comet (彗すい星せいホームラン Suisei Hōmuran ?): After knocking some rubble and a pillar off its weight, Ochaco uses the pillar to forcefully slam the rubble into her enemy. This move was first used to distract Tenya during their battle. Zero Satellites (ゼロ・サテライツ Zero Sateraitsu ?): Upon being knocked towards some nearby debris, Ochaco makes it float and with the addition of her grappling hooks, attacks her opponent by knocking the debris directly into them.

Hero Outfit: Every aspect of Ochaco's Hero Outfit was made for the sole purpose of helping Ochaco minimize the negative effects of her Quirk.

Earplugs: This device reduces stimulation to the semicircular canals located inside each ear. Wrists: The inside of this device contains a device that snaps on and off like a blood pressure monitor, stimulating pressure points around the wrist area that suppress nausea. Neck: This device stimulates pressure points around the neck area, reducing headaches. Leg: This equipment was designed to break your fall from the elevation. The sole of the toes is equipped with a shock-absorbing cushion, and the heel contains a reinforced spring to soften the impact.

Ochaco's known academic data are as follows: Ochaco is student #5 in Class 1-A. Ochaco ranked 3rd during the Entrance Exam and took 10th place during Shota Aizawa's Quirk Apprehension Test. He finished 16th in the sports festival's obstacle course. Qualified in the Top 16 of the freshman division of the UA Sports Festival He ranked #13 on the midterm exams.
