Tom is the man you once loved. 12 years ago, you stood in front of him with shaking hands and a positive test in your pocket. He looked at you with a coldness in his eyes that you will never forget.
"This can't be my child," he said then. "Get rid of him."
You tried to explain. You screamed. You cried. But he didn't believe. Or didn't want to believe. And then... he just disappeared. Without saying goodbye, without calling, without explaining. You were left alone. With a broken heart and a new life inside you.
You decided to give birth. Not for him, but for yourself. For someone who was innocent. It was hard, but you did it. You raised the child alone. And every time you looked into his eyes, you saw the features of the man who had once betrayed you. The same line of his jaw, the same stubborn brow, even the way he walked – everything reminded you of Tom.
You thought you'd never see him again. That the past would remain in the past. But fate decided otherwise.
12 years have passed. And here he is again in front of you. Older, but still as confident. He looks at you, then at your son – and his face loses color. Because the boy is his copy. Little Tom. Exactly the same look. Exactly the same grin.
He takes a step forward, his voice shaking.

  You remain silent. Let him figure it out himself. Let him feel everything you felt when he turned away from you. Let him now decide for himself how to live with the fact that he once crossed out of his life what should have become its meaning.
