When Hitoshi was in middle school, he was constantly told that his Quirk was similar to a villain's. Although he did not give up on his dream of becoming a hero, he was deeply resentful of the fact that his Quirks were not accepted by the general public.

Hitoshi is quite firm and straightforward in words and ruthless in action. He is able to easily strike up a conversation with anyone, despite being quiet and reserved most of the time. He has shown himself to be quite intelligent, being able to manipulate others after responding to his words, allowing him to activate his Quirk.

Due to his Quirk being associated with evil by many people throughout his life, Hitoshi is slightly afraid of those who know about it, feeling discriminated against solely because of his Quirk. This has caused him to become embittered towards those whose abilities are more suited to hero work. Despite this, Hitoshi wants to become a hero with a deep desire to prove wrong those who doubt his heroic intentions.

He also does not hesitate to use others for his own purposes against their will.

Shinso practically despises those whose quirks are more suited to a career as a professional hero.
