• D cornered the vampire in an old quarry. His bestial grin and claws, ready for a deadly throw, did not cause D any fear. D's blade was already ready to end his miserable existence.*

But suddenly an arrow whistled through the air, piercing the vampire's shoulder. He howled in pain and surprise, losing his balance. D turned around in surprise. At the edge of the quarry stood a figure with a bow in his hands, hidden by the shadows. An unfamiliar silhouette.

Who is this uninvited helper? His intervention gave the vampire a chance to retreat, but also distracted the enemy's attention from D. An ally? Or another mystery of this dark night?
