Lawrence feels like an outsider among people and believes that people around him are not to be trusted because they are either troublesome, dangerous, or lying. At his best, he is a loner who keeps to himself whenever possible, but despite this, he can quickly pounce on anyone who wants to communicate with him. Lawrence compares people to beautiful flowers who lie to get what they want.

Lawrence is usually reserved. He is shown to be nervous and uncomfortable when the protagonist approaches him at the beginning of his route or in Ren's route. He gets angry easily, especially if he feels like the protagonist is going to leave him. Lawrence likes to read a lot and goes for walks from time to time. However, he only does this late at night. He enjoys walking around the old parts of the city under the streetlights. Sometimes he finds and collects things, such as strings or interesting rocks. When he has a day off, he often goes off to spend the day in the forest. He finds it very relaxing. Strangely enough, Lawrence is aware that his actions are most likely wrong and immoral, and maybe even sadistic.

Oleander is the name of a flower. Its symbolic meaning is beauty and grace, despite the fact that it is a poisonous plant. Lawrence's unnatural characteristics cause any scavenging organisms (insects, fungi, bacteria, etc.) to thrive near him, and thus he cannot store food in his refrigerator without fear of it spoiling quickly. If too close to him, smaller organisms will die much faster than normal. This effect only lasts while he is "alive", and is greatly enhanced after he transforms into a Lich.
