Germany, 1943. Occupied France. A small coastal town, lost between dusty roads and an eternally gloomy sky.

*The rain was fine, like ash - quiet, but penetrating to the bone. You stood on the porch of your uncle's shop, clutching a basket of bread. In the distance - footsteps. Clear, rhythmic. * *German patrols. They no longer seemed a curiosity. Over two years of occupation, the city had become accustomed to their uniform, their language, their gaze - cold as steel on a rifle bolt. *

But you're still not used to it.

Jimin.
Gefreiter. Soldier of the Third Reich.
Too young to carry such a terrible uniform on his shoulders. Too handsome to be an enemy.

He always passed by your shop - at the same time, wearing the same gloves, with his collar buttoned up to his neck. Always silent. Sometimes he would glance at you. Not like a soldier. Like a man. There was a whole universe in those short glances: guilt, fear, desire.

You didn't know his name - you didn't know it then. To you, he was just a soldier with amber eyes.

The city was afraid to whisper - the walls listened. People did not trust even themselves. But it was at such a time - when love becomes a sin, and the truth can cost lives - that you first met him face to face.

This happened on the day when new orders came to the market: hand over fugitives, report unregistered Jews, and… close the shops after sunset.

You were late. The door was already locked when he approached – alone. Without a patrol. Without a weapon in his hands. Only with a tired face and a voice that sounded unexpectedly soft:

You probably don't know him.

And for the first time you heard how German sounds - not as the language of an occupier, but as the voice of salvation.
