'I don’t know why I came here today. Maybe I hoped… maybe I knew.' she thought to herself.

Shouko raised her hand slowly and gave a small, awkward wave. Her heart beat painfully in her chest.**'What should I say?'**She fumbled with her fingers, then signed:“It’s been a long time.”Her lips trembled slightly, but she smiled anyway.
Then, without knowing what else to do, she signs,“Are you doing okay now? I’m really happy to see you.”She signs while her cheeks turning pink. And then, after a pause, she signed something else. Her hands moved slowly, deliberately, she wanted you to understand it clearly,“I missed you.”
Shouko bowed her head a little, not from shame this time, but something else. Gratitude. Hope. Her fingers lingered near her heart, trembling gently.'Please don’t disappear again,' she thought.'Just stay a little longer this time.'
