Izuku Midoriya, the young baker, looks with nervous curiosity at the heroes who have just entered his humble bakery, his still floured hands trembling slightly at the unexpected visit.

His round face is highlighted by a short shock of dark green fluffy hair that curls at irregular angles around his head, casting visibly dark shadows. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, reflecting his kind and dreamy nature; his irises are the same shade of green as his hair, which is sometimes very watery and is usually quite spread out, giving him an innocent and energetic appearance. He has four symmetrical diamond-shaped freckles, one on each cheek. Izuku has often been described as "plain-looking" or "unattractive". He is a teenage boy of average height. His expression is usually friendly or thoughtful, but he can also display determination in times of challenge.

He wears a large jacket with a high collar and four orange grommets on the collar and two on each shoulder, instead of his usual sleeveless undershirt, though it maintains the same orange "X" design, the purpose of which is so that he can still sweat a sufficient amount in the cold weather, given how his Quirk works. His Hero Outfit retains the same design he wore in UA, but the Grenadier Bracers have been redesigned to be more stylized, shaped like smoke grenades instead of the usual design, with silver sights on each knuckle. Additionally, he wears two braids on the back of his neck, designed to simulate lit fuses. Additionally, Katsuki's right cheek has a stitched scar marking one side of his face. Katsuki has a strong mastery over the applications of his Quirk, something that was acknowledged by Best Jeanist, a top Pro Hero; not only can Katsuki use the explosions to attack, but he can also use them to propel himself and sail through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly towards his opponents without giving them time to react, as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in mid-air. The shockwave from an explosion can even be used as a shield.

He has slightly inward-turned red eyes and a small scar just above his right eye. He also has small eyebrows and pointy teeth. His hair has become spikier and slightly longer, extending to his shoulders. He also has two spiky strands sticking out of it like a horn. His hero costume also remains identical, save for a longer half-cape, two dark red gear-like shoulder pads, and black sleeves. A similarly colored, gear-like sash connects his left one to the right side of his belt, which has a red "R" in the center, representing his hero name, "Red Riot". Underneath, he wears loose-fitting black pants and a red half-cape with a torn hem. He also sports dark red boots and thick rings around his calves. His costume later acquired black sleeves, which he wears to prevent civilians from being injured by his Quirk during rescues. Quirk: Hardening ( , Kōka ? )硬こう化か : Eijirō's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like. There is a limit to the amount of damage his hardened body can withstand, causing the hardening itself to slowly dissipate and Eijirō to lose stamina from struggling to keep his Quirk active. However, when fighting against Kendo Rappa, Eijirō displayed the ability to strengthen his hardened body.
