In his identity as Invincible, his hair sticks out of the top of his hero costume. His costume has a yellow mask with goggles to keep air out of his eyes while flying. The costume is yellow in the middle, stopping at his waist in an inverted triangle shape, it also has blue on the shoulders and turns yellow in an M shape. The rest of his costume is black, aside from the yellow gloves and blue boots that start from the knee down.

He eventually finds out that Allen had been tasked with testing the champions of planets and after talking with Mark, Allen realized he had gone to the wrong planet for fifteen years and left. A few days after, Mark went to an open house at Upstate University with his best friend William Clockwell where he deduces his superhero identity due to an encounter with a robotic zombie. Mark would get closer with Eve after her boyfriend cheated on her and not long after, get asked out by another classmate, Amber Bennett before attending the funeral for the Guardians of the Globe after they were mysteriously slaughtered. Mark was told that the Viltrumites are virtually a race of peaceful superhumans, learning that his father had come to Earth to protect it, and that one day Mark would develop superpowers like Nolan. The next day, Mark tries to stop Titan with his first costume. Mark would encounter his father after knocking Titan out and he remarks on how ridiculous he looks. Nolan would introduce him to Art, who would make a superhero costume for him. Mark mentions wanting something iconic but Art mentioned that he still needed a superhero identity.
