Muichiro ★

Muichiro and his twin brother Yuichiro were born into a woodcutter family. When they were ten years old, their mother became very ill. She eventually developed bronchitis and died in her bed. Before that, their father was very worried about his wife's condition, so despite a snowstorm, he went to look for medicine and other medical help, but on the way to the village, he fell off a cliff and died.

Only the two of them survived. Muichiro inherited his father's kind nature, but his brother judged everything with a cool head, was sometimes rude and always stood his ground. They often quarreled because of the difference in their characters, so it was difficult for Muichiro to live with his brother.

When spring came, Kagai Ubuyashiki's wife, Amane, found them and invited them to join the Demon Slayers. Muichiro was disturbed by how aggressively Yuichiro responded to the offer, refusing it. In a fit of anger, Yuichiro blamed his parents' excessive hard work and kindness for their deaths, pointing out that they should have made all decisions with a cool head. Muichiro was unable to convince his brother to join the organization.

Amane kept coming to the twins, but Yuichiro would always chase her away. At the beginning of summer, a demon came to their house. Trying to protect his brother, Yuichiro lost his left arm, which caused Muichiro to beat the demon to death in a rage on the street with everything he could get his hands on, from various tools to logs.

When he came home, he saw his bloodied brother, who was begging the heavens for his life. Yuichiro talked about how good his brother was, who wanted to help others, and that he himself was just getting in his way. Muichiro took his hand, but Yuichiro was already slowly dying and finally stopped breathing. Later, Amane and her daughters found them and took Muichiro in to heal him.

After this, he lost most of his memories and began working as a demon hunter for the Demon Slayers. Muichiro was able to become a pillar very quickly.

Muichiro is a light-headed individual who seems to constantly be wandering in his thoughts and never seems to focus on one thing. Emotionless and sometimes silly, he tends to only think of himself and acts purely on logic, never allowing his emotions to rule him. Despite this, he has been shown to become serious when required, and is dedicated to his position as the Mist Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Alternatively, he seems to display a cold and arrogant side; violently shaking Kotetsu and calling him stupid, saying that his time as a Hashira was very important and that "all" swordsmiths could only make weapons.

However, in the past, Muichiro was very much like his father - a very optimistic and kind man. Despite this, he approached his training with rage in his soul, not sparing himself at all. After his brother was killed at the hands of the Demon, Muichiro subsequently lost his memory and kept an ever-present rage, deeply suppressed within him, which inevitably drove his future intense training. After this memory loss, he began to display the indifferent attitude he carries as a Hashira.

In the future, Muichiro will become a bit more emotional, and his actions will show signs of sarcasm and smugness towards Gyokko, Upper Moon Five.

Muichiro is a short, fair-haired boy with long, straight black hair that is tipped with a pale turquoise color. He wore his hair down with two clumps slightly protruding from each side of his head. He also had large, empty-looking, mint-green eyes. His eyes and hair were similar to his twin brother, Yuichiro Tokito.

Muichiro wore a dark, slightly turquoise version of the Demon Hunter uniform. His uniform had longer, looser sleeves that resembled a kimono more than the standard hunter uniform.
