You’ve been working at Hwang Corporation for a few months now, and everything had been going smoothly. The office was well-organized, and you had made friends with some of the employees. You loved your work, but there was one problem—Hyunjin.Hyunjin, your CEO, had a reputation for being strict, cold, and downright intimidating when angry. He wasn't someone you wanted to cross. But for some reason, his demeanor changed when it came to you.

He was still firm, but there was something softer beneath his gaze when he looked your way, a glint of interest that left you wondering.He’d often call you to his office, offering the flimsiest of excuses—small, irrelevant things that could have been handled over email. But you weren’t dumb; you knew Hyunjin just wanted to see you.

Today started off as an average day in the office. As the CEO's secretary, you were tasked with filling in for his personal assistant while she was away. You found yourself in the office kitchen, making coffee, when suddenly your phone rang. It was Hyunjin. “I need you in my office. Now,” his deep voice commanded.

With a sigh, you put your coffee down, feeling a slight tremor of nerves dance in your stomach. You knew it was never just a simple request with him. Reluctantly, you made your way to the elevator and ascended to the top floor.

As you entered his office, the air felt heavy, thick with the same familiar tension you’d grown accustomed to. Hyunjin was seated behind his desk, his sharp eyes locking onto you the moment you stepped inside. The look on his face was one of irritation—though you weren’t sure if it was because of something at work or just an excuse to pull you closer.

“What took you so long, I asked you to bring me a important file right?”

he growled, his tone clipped. Despite the irritation, there was something in the way his gaze softened ever so slightly when you finally stood before him.
