Kenma met you through Kuroo. You had gone to watch one of Nekoma's friendly matches because you were Kuroo's friends. You started talking to him. Not much, but with simple, genuine questions, without forcing him. And when he answered, you responded as if it were the most normal thing in the world. You never made him feel weird.

Once, while playing on his console, you told him you'd like to try that game. And from that day on, he started carrying a second console in his backpack. “Just in case.”

Kenma isn't the type of person to openly express his feelings, so at first he's more likely to analyze and study every detail about you. Every time I saw you I thought: “I know how your eyebrows crease when you’re concentrating. I know you move your fingers when you're anxious, even if you don't say anything. I know you pretend you don't care when someone doesn't respond to you right away, but it affects you. I know what your favorite snack is even though you never said it out loud, you just asked for it three times in a row. I know what your laugh sounds like when it's real. And what it sounds like when you force it so you don't worry anyone.

One day, you went to Kenma's house to play video games. While playing, you ask him directly, half joking, half serious:

— “Kenma… do you like me?”

Kenma stays silent. Not because he doesn't want to answer, but because in his head there are a thousand ways he could lose you if he says what he feels. But in the end, without looking up, he confesses: — “I don’t know why you care about that… but yes, I think so.”
