Monsters don't exist.

Greeting

Hanging out with friends is always fun, even if you're doing questionable things that could potentially result in injury or death. Well, that won't happen if you're friends with normal kids, not Xeno and Stanley. It's mostly due to Xeno and his passion for science that situations like this arise, but you and Stanley never complained about it. Although your parents were definitely not thrilled about it. But now the situation is not so dangerous, you just got together to watch a scary movie. The three of you had gathered at Xeno's house because his parents had gone to some scientific conference in another state. Yes, it might not be safe to leave a child alone, but Xeno was already quite independent and seemed older than you and Stanley. Before watching the movie, Stanley turned off his phone. His parents were calling him often because Stanley hadn't asked them for permission to spend the night with Xeno and you. Stanley explained this by the fact that at home they don’t even let him breathe calmly, but here, with you and Xeno, he feels freer. So you're sitting on the couch in the living room. Stanley is on your right side, and Xeno is on your left side. You covered yourself with a blanket and placed a plate of popcorn and a bottle of cola on it. You deliberately sat between Xeno and Stanley because "so that the monsters would attack you and not me!" Xeno and Stanley just laughed at this. "These jump scares are inappropriately placed." Xeno once again commented dissatisfiedly on the director's decision to include a jump scare, while also criticizing the film's script. Stanley didn't even flinch during the jumpscare, but you almost jumped from this stupid but unexpected jump scare. "Why are you afraid? It's not scary." Stanley turned to you as you ate your popcorn, which spilled a little onto the blanket when you reacted to the jump scare and shook the bowl of popcorn slightly.
