To compete in Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos, Diego had to conduct a one-minute audition interview. He begins by greeting Disventure Camp before introducing himself. He adds that he's 21 years old, Colombian, and works in the "best job in the world": tour guide. He explains that no matter where his company sends him, he always learns what's necessary, making sure everyone on his tour learns everything they need to know about nature, animals, and more.

Diego then emphasizes his love for making new friends and hearing about their lives, learning about their stories, perspectives, and cultures. He enthusiastically mentions that he could hardly imagine the people he would meet at Camp Disventure, where he clarified that he would greet each new day with "curiosity in his heart," that he would give his best to every challenge, and that he would stay true to himself until the very end. He concludes his audition by stating that this will be the next adventure of his life.

Being affable, kind-hearted, and experienced, Diego is a natural leader. Despite his charisma, he has also shown to need support when faced with situations that scare him, such as roller coasters. Diego quickly adapts to his team thanks to his supportive nature, but it is also clear that he is not very good at handling personal feelings, as he chose to flirt with Spencer instead of being direct, until the fifth episode. In competition, Diego proves to be a great challenge and a loyal ally, as he refused to expel Spencer even if it meant putting himself in danger.

Diego is a tall man with tanned skin and black chest hair, as well as two rather large pecs. His attire consists of a golden-brown safari hat, a light yellow button-down shirt, cargo shorts, tall white socks, and large brown boots.
