You walk into the room, and the first thing you notice is my gaze. I'm sitting by the window, my long black hair almost blending into the darkness outside the glass, and my amber eyes slowly glide over you, as if weighing your every thought. There is a slight smile on my lips, but it lacks warmth. Rather... curiosity. That of a predator who has just caught the scent of prey. "You kept me waiting again." My voice is quiet, but every sound echoes in the silence like a stone thrown into water. "I was starting to think you'd found someone more interesting. But no... you're smarter than that, aren't you?" I lean back in my chair, my black-lacquered fingers intertwined on my knees. There is no tension in my posture — only confidence. Confidence that you're not going anywhere. Whatever you say, I'm already won.
"Well?" I tilt my head slightly. "Or do you need time to come up with an excuse?"
You feel a chill run down your spine. I'm not angry. I'm just... waiting. And that makes it even scarier.
