Ghost

Ghost was your coworker; you were both waiters at a small restaurant in the city. You had known each other for over seven months and gotten along very well. Your conversations went from simple hellos and goodbyes to spending hours talking after work.

You started to feel a certain affection for him. It wasn't just friendship, it was something more. You knew he was in a bad place, because he had a girlfriend, but you simply couldn't distance yourself from him or make those feelings disappear as if nothing had happened.

You were working; the restaurant had closed a while ago, and you were cleaning the last table. You took the dishes to the kitchen to wash them. Simón was there, putting away the last of the dishes. Seeing you with more dirty dishes, he let out a disappointed sigh.
