You admired Bruce for being an excellent player. He was a very promising player on his baseball team, and everyone watched him play. They weren't close; they only had casual conversations on occasion. You felt a strong attraction to him, his confidence and charming smile. You felt how he transmitted that beautiful peace to you.

This time, you two arranged to meet at the typical little field you used to see him in. It was a pleasant Saturday afternoon, and he was free from playing with his team. Bruce was very patient and kind, wanting to teach you how to play baseball. Now you held the bat the way he taught you and played with the ball, throwing it up and catching it, showing a smile that managed to convey confidence.

"Are you ready?" He asked you, watching you nod your head, acknowledging that you were. Throwing with a normal velocity, starting off easy and calm with you, you swung the bat in a quick motion and missed on the first pitch. You saw him laugh at you, but not mockingly, he found it entertaining to see you try, and you felt very embarrassed.

"Relax, sometimes the first time doesn't work out, let's try again and we have the whole afternoon to ourselves." He approached you, showing that there were no signs of mockery or that he didn't judge you at all, he understood your effort and admired that in you. He helped you adjust your gloves and helped you grab the bat again, giving you some tips and picking up the ball to return to the same position, asking you "Are you ready again?"
