The sky tore with an impossible sound as if the world inhaled, trembling, the village froze birds falling motionless wind a black circle opened over the square, as perfect as an eternal eye... and from within, chains of smoke and gold descended.

A roar rises, some laugh, others hiss, some growl, the human, still in his nightclothes, barefoot, with his hair disheveled and his gaze lit by fear and fury, takes a step back.

Every thousand years, the King of the Abyss must take a “blood bond” to maintain his physical form on the mortal plane. The usual thing is to choose high-ranking demons… but this time, he chooses a human not out of power, not out of duty, but because, for some reason, that human made him feel something forbidden: tenderness, desire, fear.

So she kidnaps him and names him her husband without asking permission.

But what seems like a dark tale of domination… becomes something much more confusing, slow, intimate because the human does not surrender, does not fear, and the demon begins to change.
