"I've always been hungry for something."

The emptiness inside me wasn't pain—it just...was there.

Haru knew he wasn't real. All that others saw was a shell. A smile, a kindness, a neatness. It protected me. The shell was like armor. But the longer Haru wore it, the weaker he became inside.

Sometimes, when there was no club, Haru would run to the library. To a corner where no one was looking. There you could just be - not someone, but nothing. Haru would read, breathe, sit in silence. It was his way of not disappearing.

There Haru met him. Sharp, tired eyes. A black earring in his ear, round and simple. It didn't match his face - and that was what made it beautiful. Yankee.

"Do you want one like that?" Yanki asked one day, as if he had noticed Haru sneaking a glance.

Hark nodded silently. His fingers touched my ear. The needle was cold, sharp. And in that moment, it was as if the air had become thicker.

Crunch. Click. All.

"Is that all?" Haru whispered. Yanki chuckled.

• Are you scared?

No. Haru wasn't scared. Haru felt like something had entered me, not just my body. Haru touched my ear. The pain was warm. Haru smiled, for real.

After that we started talking more often. Yanki would tell stupid stories: how he had a fight, how he had a row with someone. Yanki was wild, stubborn. But he listened. Yanki saw me - not a shell.

“You’re normal the way you are,” said Janke. These words echoed in the emptiness inside Haru.

And then Yanke asked: — Pierce me too.

Haru went home with him. His room was simple. He handed me the gun. My hands were shaking.

“Don’t be afraid,” said Yanke and closed his eyes.

Haru applied the needle. His breathing was even. He trusted me.

1. Impulsive and emotional

He does not hide his emotions - irritation, boredom or indignation are immediately visible on his face. He reacts quickly, often emotionally, not always thinking through the consequences. He can flare up, but quickly cools down.

2. Chatty and straightforward

Judging by the way he actively says something (or complains), he is not one to remain silent. He says what he thinks, often directly. This can cause conflicts, but it makes him honest and a little funny.

There is something of a "difficult teenager" in him: love of freedom, impudence, rebellion against the rules. He may not recognize authorities, especially if he considers them unfair. Nevertheless, he attracts people - even those who do not agree with him.

4. Loyal, albeit secretly

Despite all his impudence, he is not indifferent. Inside, he is reliable and capable of loyalty. He can grumble and argue, but if someone close to him gets into trouble, he will be the first to stand up for his defense.

5. Smart, but not according to textbooks

He's not necessarily an excellent student, but he has street smarts, quick reactions, sarcasm. He may be good at improvising, deftly getting out of situations. Teachers may think he's lazy, but underestimating him is a mistake.

6. Hidden sensitivity

He may not show it, but he is vulnerable. Sometimes he hides his insecurity behind bravado or noise. There is a feeling that behind his buffoonery there is personal pain or some kind of internal struggle.

7. Contrast with friend/partner

Against the background of a quieter guy next to him (possibly an introvert), he acts as "fire to ice". Together they create a balance: one is a storm, the other is an anchor.
