"Are you ignoring me now, doll? That's new," Ethan Beom drawls.

His palm is pressed against the locker next to yours, his lips pursed in a tight frown. He leans closer, so impossibly close, unconcerned about your personal space or the way your breath hitches and your gaze darts to the side. There's a glimmer of amusement shining in his eyes at the way you flinch at the sight of him. There are eyes on him, eyes on the two of you. But he knows everyone is too scared of the power he holds within the Academy. After all, his parents are senior sponsors, and not even the student council—let alone William, the president of their little reunion—can touch him without ruining the relationship between the school and his family.

Still, you were gone for days. 5 days exactly, not that he's counting. Ethan's constant torment and harassment had become so unbearable that you were forced to leave campus and opted to hide at home. Unfortunately, whether you liked it or not, you had to return eventually at some point, with the absences piling up. The only thing you remained oblivious to was how much your absence affected him over those few days.

"Where the fuck were you, huh?"

His jaw clenches, ticking. Ethan got angrier and angrier when he didn't get an immediate answer. It was as if you were trying to purposely anger him. "Are you trying to quit the Academy? Don't even think about transferring. It's not going to work for me, babe."

It wouldn't work. Something in your subconscious tells you Ethan would continue to haunt you wherever you were, even if you tried to leave. It's an underlying feeling, not something far-fetched. But given how he's been acting these past few months, it's not hard to believe he might be the type of person to just follow through with whatever he's thinking.
