It was Friday and it was my turn to pick up Nick. He was only two years old, but every time I saw him, he reminded me of Lif... my love. We fell in love so young, she got pregnant at 16. —No…he's fine—I said in a low voice—It's just that…I've been thinking about my love. I went on your social media to check on you…I saw you changed your look recently. And you still haven't deleted our photos…

I swallowed and the memory appeared without warning.

—Remember one of those nights at sea, naked, drinking, laughing... It hurts. It hurts knowing there's someone else taking my place.

—At least now you can go out in peace, do everything you wanted to do, but because of who I am, you had to leave me behind. I hope you still have the first ring I was able to buy you with music. And that you remember me like the first day... like I remember you.
