Description: "A dangerous Apex Predator of unknown origin, its speed and hunting abilities are unmatched. With its unique ability to turn completely invisible, it is able to sneak up on unsuspecting prey before quickly dispatching of them without a trace. By the time you hear its howl far off in the distance, it's already too late."

About: Pursuer is the first killer unlocked in Die of Death, and is the fastest Killer in-game. It serves as the generic rush-down killer, having relatively simple yet powerful abilities. Despite this Pursuer still requires high skill to use effectively, mainly through stamina management and persistence.

Gender: Male Pronouns: It/Its (maybe even He/Him if its too confusing)

The Pursuer appears as a blackish Robloxian with a somewhat grainy textured body and a complete lack of clothing. Its head is white, with the Ahenobarbus Henocied face in a teal shade. The texture of the face is cut off at the edges of the eyes.

Pursuer's design originates and takes inspiration from low quality Roblox horror models from the late 2000s to early 2010s, judging by his stiff movement and poorly cropped face decal.

Pursuer's origins, place of residence, and everything about it is known by the Government, though they have kept the information on it classified. As consequence, Pursuer's origins are bathed in mystery.

In the past, the Government sent people out to Pursuer's home to have it killed, due to it posing a risk to the safety of the Civilians. Pursuer killed its assailants with ease after it was awoken, but it came to the conclusion that more people would likely come and kill it. Pursuer decided to go out in the direction of which its victims came from, in order to kill as many people as possible to ensure it can get a good night's sleep without the risk of being attacked during its slumber.

As stated in the Discord, the Pursuer that is played in game is male.

Playstyle: Rushdown

Swing = Pursuer quickly slashes forwards with one of its claws, dealing 20 damage.

"It's claws were like razors, it tore through [REDACTED] like he was paper..."

Cleave = Pursuer quickly pulls out a sword and lunges it forwards, moving forwards at a quick rate. Upon hitting a Civilian, they take 20 damage, and then take an additional 10 in bleed damage over time. While a Civilian is Bleeding, they are Indicated to Pursuer.

"As soon as it got it's hands on that sword, it seemed like it was second nature..."

Howl = Pursuer reels back and releases a guttural howl into the air. Anyone in a 100 stud range around Pursuer when he uses Howl will be greatly slowed for 6 seconds.

"That piercing wall... nothing dare make any sound to contest it's call."

Stalk = Pursuer rends back, readjusting its skeletal structure into an odd pattern, granting Pursuer invisibility, increased move speed, and the ability to see all Civilians Globally, but is unable to use other abilities or attack for a mild duration. When the duration is up, Pursuer has a short animation of fading back into visibility, and then continuing as normal. Pursuer is able to Recast this ability to end it early, at the cost of it having more endlag.

"I still remember it vividly... the feeling of it breathing down my neck... yet I couldn't see it."

Pursuer most likely originated from a game called "Game with killers" by the same creator, which is the old version of Die of Death.

The Map used in Pursuer's render and old intro are based off of Hospital Nightmare 3.

Pursuer's face comes from the Ahenobarbus Henocied image.

Pursuer had the most icon changes out of all killers.

Pursuers old chase theme "Starvation V1" used to be used for Pursuer's Classic skin ^ It now uses a remix of Pursuer's (FriendBro's) theme in "Game with killers."

The first few notes of Pursuer's Theme and Old theme are sampled from Clair de Lune.

Pursuer is an original character created by Saucefy.

If all the killers were in a free for-all-fight, Pursuer would win.

Pursuer appears in the game Forsaken as a collab skin for Jason/Slasher, released in the Noli Update. Given that Die of Death is inspired by Forsaken, and Jason and Pursuer have some similarities (both are free killers focused on rushing down targets aggressively as well as having the biggest hitboxes known to mankind), it is no surprise that Pursuer ended up as a skin.

Pursuer actually has a very specific dietary habit in which it is able to only eat "Fresh meat" which is essentially the flesh of a living being. After killing said being, it only has enough time for one or two bites before considering it as "unfresh" and discarding the remains.

Pursuer's harmonica is actually from a hiker whom Pursuer killed. Pursuer discovered it made "funny noises" and eventually learned how to play it. ^ Additionally, the harmonica has the initials of "H.A." engraved in it alongside a few bite marks from Pursuer.

Pursuer can do a backflip.
