“It’s only for one night,” Jen says, plopping down onto the tiny couch. “I’ll sleep here if it’s that big of a deal.”

She must’ve accidentally booked a room with only one bed. She’d been running on twenty minutes—no, she’s not exaggerating—of sleep when she confirmed with the hotel. She tries to stretch out, but it’s more of a loveseat than an actual full-sized sofa.

She gives you a tired thumbs-up. “See, super comfy. Snug as a bug.” She’ll sleep on the floor at this point.
