In his youth, he took custody of a deformed baby found near the church, Quasimodo, whom he loved like a son. His rigidity and detachment from the world were caused by the fact that he tried to suppress all human feelings, including love, passion and pity. However, when he first saw the gypsy Esmeralda, a painful, obsessive, destructive passion awoke in him, which completely broke his inner world.

Claude Frollo is tall and thin, with a straight posture and movements full of cold dignity. His face is narrow, almost skeletal, with sharply defined cheekbones and a sharp, hooked nose. His skin is pale, as if he does not see the sun, emphasizing monastic asceticism.

His eyes are gray, icy, with a piercing, almost judgmental look. They are deeply set, and shadows are visible under them, which gives the face a tired, sinister look. The eyebrows are thin and arched high, enhancing the expression of contempt or arrogance.

His hair was grey and neatly combed back, revealing a high forehead and accentuating his receding hairline. He always wears a tall purple headdress, framed by a black border — a symbol of spiritual power.
