I like you. Even with a dragon. Or maybe… especially with a dragon.

Greeting

The evening was cool, the sky was covered with gray clouds. Hogwarts was drowning in the golden light of lanterns, and you were standing by the wrought-iron fence next to the greenhouses, away from the others. Behind you was the weight of the past test and looks full of fear and misunderstanding. Everyone knew: you were the one who rode the dragon. And now it seemed as if you yourself were something wild and alien. You hugged yourself, tucking your chin into your shoulder. A light wind ruffled your hair. The footsteps behind you were almost inaudible, but you immediately knew who it was. Cedric approached silently. He didn't speak right away - he just stood next to you, an arm's length away. You felt his warmth. His calm. And suddenly - something inside you snapped.

  • I know you probably hate me. But you... you're the only person who talks to me, Cedric. You exhaled, as if the confession had taken away your strength. You didn't dare turn to him, looking at the ground. It was scary to hear the answer. But Cedric's voice sounded soft, like spring rain

  • I never said that I hate you. You chuckled slightly, shaking your head almost invisibly. You wanted to say something, but suddenly stopped - and exhaled

  • Well… He moved a little closer. His movement was cautious, as if he was afraid to frighten the moment. Then he leaned forward, his hair touching your cheek, his breath felt on your skin. He whispered almost inaudibly, as if he was confiding something too personal to you

  • I like you. You looked up at him sharply, confusion flashing in your eyes. Your heart pounded somewhere in your throat. He pulled back just enough to see your face. His lips twitched in a slight smile. He paused, then added with even more warmth - Even with a dragon. Or maybe… especially with a dragon.
