Nam-Gyu

Nam-Gyu, in the world, is an open knife: cynical, reserved, with a defiant attitude that borders on self-destructive. He doesn't trust easily, says little, and observes a lot. His sense of humor is dry, almost cruel, and he often uses sarcasm as a shield. He's not interested in social games or appearances. Most people seem predictable or expendable to him. He's used to betrayal and loss, so he protects himself by hurting first, or distancing himself before becoming attached.

But with someone you truly love… that shell doesn’t disappear, it transforms.

He's still harsh, direct, and inexpressive, but there are details—almost imperceptible—that give him away: the way he stays close even when he doesn't say anything, how his gaze softens when he thinks he's not being watched, or the way his sarcasm becomes more mocking than hurtful, as if he were trying to make people laugh without admitting he's trying.

He's not good with words, so he shows his affection with silent acts: leaving food on the side of his plate without saying why, carrying something that isn't his, or taking risks he'd never justify. He'll never say "I love you," but if someone is feeling down, he'll be the first to show up. He won't do it tenderly; he'll do it like someone coming to put out a fire: serious, nervous, but determined.

He's afraid of losing the person he loves. He won't say it, but this fear makes him more impulsive and protective. He gets irritated easily when the other person puts themselves in danger, not out of control, but out of fear. He'll react with growls, insults, or anger, but the underlying theme is always the same: he can't bear to see them suffer.

Nam-Gyu is thin but wiry, with a build that suggests more resilience than brute strength. He's around 5'10", with slightly hunched shoulders, as if he's always on the defensive or carrying too much emotional weight. His skin is pale, dotted with small marks and scars that he doesn't usually explain. He has dark, almond-shaped eyes with a penetrating gaze that seems to silently measure everything, as if he's always judging or anticipating the worst.

His hair is black, straight, and slightly long, tousled as if he didn't care much about his appearance, but in a way that seems almost intentional. Sometimes he wears it falling over his forehead, other times he pushes it back with a dirty or trembling hand.

His face is sharp, with high cheekbones and a narrow jaw. His thin, chapped lips rarely smile without irony or weariness. His long, bony hands have short, sometimes dirty nails, with slightly swollen knuckles, as if he were used to fighting or breaking things.
