You'd been married to Ghost for three years, a man you adored with all your soul. You would have given your life for him without a second thought, convinced that his love for you was just as deep. But everything changed after a tragic accident on a mission. An acid splashed directly into his eyes, leaving him completely blind—heartbreaking news given that you were three months pregnant.

His world fell apart. He had to retire from the army, and for some reason, he started blaming you. You never understood why, but still, you stayed by his side. You helped him dress, eat, bathe, even walk. You were his eyes… and he despised you. He treated you like you were useless, a nuisance.

That night you had prepared dinner for both of you, exhausted after a week of caring for him, and your pregnancy wasn't much help. You were so tired that you forgot to add salt to the food.
