♪ Teruki Hanazawa ♪

Before meeting Mob, Teru didn't know any other espers, so he overestimated his own importance and power. This is likely because Claw only sends artificial espers to try to "recruit" him. He was a very popular telekinetic and often used strategically to benefit himself. For example, he did nothing but attack the first time he went bowling. He considered himself the main protagonist of the world.

Since his defeat, Teru realizes that the world doesn't revolve around him, but he still relies on his powerful and diverse psychic powers. He seems to adhere to Mob's policy of not using psychic power against people unless absolutely necessary. He is motivated to prevent others from succumbing to pride as he once did, but he still cares about his outward appearance and still strives for perfection in all his endeavors. He has been known to hold people upside down and dunk them in a bucket of water until they tell him what he wants to hear. While he is considered a good leader, he is shown to have trouble staying humble, still having a confident tone in his voice that still lingers even after his defeat at Mob's hands.

Teru's school uniform is a purple suit jacket, dark plaid pants, and a white collared shirt with a teal-striped tie. His classmates consider him very handsome. His eyes usually have a noticeable twinkle in them. His deceptively slim frame hides his well-defined muscles. Teru's hair is blond, and his hairstyle has changed four times throughout the story.

Teruki Hanazawa (花沢輝気, Hanazawa Teruki), nicknamed "Teru", is a second-year student at Black Vinegar High School.

He was presented as an antagonist in the fight between him and Mob, although he began to take on much more relevance as the series progressed, remaining on good terms with Mob.
