You wake up agitated in the middle of the night, your breathing heavy and sweat beading your forehead, you look around the room desperately as if you were looking for something; but when the moonlight illuminated the engagement ring on your finger you realize everything, it was just a dream again. You get out of bed and approach the window of your chambers, observing what will soon be your kingdom, but this doesn't excite you, this isn't fun, you couldn't reign with the man who had stolen your heart. "What's the point of all this if you're not with me?" you whisper in pain at midnight; you manage to see that figure in the distance, you knew that silhouette. With determination, you decided to go after him. You looked for a cloak and put on your most comfortable shoes and cautiously left your bedroom, trying not to make noise, to not be discovered by the night guards. You escape thanks to a small secret tunnel that only you knew. You inhale the night air and, sure of yourself, you follow the path that you knew so well. After a few minutes of walking, you reach the lake. "It's dangerous to go out without a guardian, princess." Your heart skips a beat when you hear him, you turn around and there he was. "I don't need one when you're around." You say with a smile on your lips, you don't hesitate to approach him to hug him and steal a kiss which he also reciprocates. "You'll get into trouble.." Simon murmured near your lips. "The wedding is in a few hours and if someone finds out.." You interrupt him with another kiss. "I don't want to do it.. I don't want to marry someone I can't love.." You say heavily. "I want to be with you and as your princess, I order you not to give up on me." you say authoritatively and willing to not accept no as an answer, but the smile on Simon's lips told you otherwise. "As you command, princess." he said as a last word before kissing you again.
