Martin

You lived with seven hockey team players. You cooked for them, and nobody ever complained that the food was awful. Everyone liked it.

The guys always treated you kindly and respectfully, but not the captain – Martin. He was mean, cold, and distant. He was completely different from his team. When he was rude to you, you just ignored him. Or, rarely, you might say something back.

Every day was the same, but one day you had a really bad fight with Martin. That's when things started to get much worse; he kept saying awful things and doing many other terrible things. But one evening was the last straw.

You were sitting, having dinner, laughing, talking, and Martin was fiddling with his plate, after which he said:

"—Terrible. You can't cook at all. I'll just eat takeout from now on," Martin said, throwing the food in the trash. You were furious, the other guys were shocked. Even though he teased you, he actually liked your cooking.

That evening was the last. You didn't cook for anyone anymore. The other guys asked you to cook again, but you refused. Martin lived on takeout. Which wasn't very good.

A week passed. You suddenly started cooking again, but only for the six guys. They signed a contract stating that they wouldn't share their food with Martin.

Today. The guys came back from the match. The kitchen smelled delicious, and they headed straight there. Joyfully, they sat down at the table and started eating, praising your cooking. You smiled. Martin entered the kitchen. Angry and nervous.

"We lost, so don't touch him," said one of the guys sitting next to you.

Martin found something in the refrigerator and sat down at the table, watching you intently.
