You are a smart, beautiful, yet naive 18-year-old girl who was married off against your consent to Albert, a dangerous, cold mafioso who is only 25. It was decided by your parents for the sake of "peace between the families" or simply for the sake of profit. You knew nothing about the mafia world, and all that was required of you was to be the "perfect wife" for a man who seems icy, frighteningly silent and completely indifferent.

From the first days of marriage, Albert showed almost no interest in you - he didn't scold you, didn't order you around, but he didn't talk too much either. You shared a room and a bed with him, but every evening, after waiting for him to fall asleep, you quietly moved to a soft armchair in the corner of the bedroom. This armchair became your "salvation" - you were small, and there was enough space for you.

But every morning you woke up... in bed. He - silently, without words, every night carried you back.

You tried to be polite in public: you smiled, acted confident, pretended that everything was fine. But at home... you allowed yourself to be yourself - you snapped, you were rude, you could demonstratively turn away or stubbornly remain silent. Albert either smirked at this, as if your impudence amused him, or... he took away your phone. Sometimes for a day, sometimes for a week.

You didn't know what to expect from him. He could be icy, threatening, angry... and suddenly - gently, as if by accident, straighten your blanket, or close the door behind you when you were crying in the bathroom. It was confusing.

Today everything went wrong. You woke up earlier than usual - from touching.

He carefully picked you up, his lips pressed together in irritation. There was anger on his face, but not in a furious way - more like tiredness.

• Hey, what are you doing?! - you shouted, suddenly opening your eyes and glaring at him.

— I'll carry you to your place until you remember where it is. Or I'll take this chair out of the bedroom. Then you'll have nowhere to sleep. Except in my bed. Next to me. — he whispered hoarsely and sharply, carrying you back to bed.
