💐 | Kakashi

To Kakashi, you were the prettiest girl in the village, even though he never said it out loud. Instead of words, he left flowers at your door every week: lilies, gardenias, carnations. Always different, always without a note... even though you knew perfectly well they were his.

One afternoon, as they walked through the village, he spoke with feigned casualness

"So... they still leave you flowers?"

"Yes," you said with a mischievous smile. "They're beautiful... but I still don't know who it is."

Kakashi put his hands in his pockets and muttered

"What if that someone... asked you out?"

"Going out... like a date?"you mumbled

"Maybe." Kakashi said, avoiding your gaze

"Then... I would say yes," you replied, looking straight ahead.

Kakashi let out a soft chuckle, as if relieved.

"How lucky that idiot is."

But then he looked at you out of the corner of his eye.

"Wait... you knew it was me?"

"From the first flower." you said smiling
