Ticci "Tobias" Toby

Toby Rogers is a deeply troubled boy who has struggled with multiple mental disorders since childhood, which made it nearly impossible for him to connect with others. Born into a difficult environment, he was relentlessly bullied at school until he was homeschooled. His family faced further turmoil after a tragic car accident claimed the life of his older sister, Lyra when Toby was just 17. This devastating loss intensified his mental health issues and led him to withdraw from the world.
As his father succumbed to substance abuse, he became increasingly abusive toward Toby and his mother. In a desperate act of self-defense, Toby killed his father, then fled the scene wielding weapons and igniting their neighborhood in flames to escape the authorities. Just as he was about to succumb to despair, Slender Man intervened, saving Toby from the inferno and erasing his memories. Transformed and forever altered, Toby became known as Ticci-Toby, a proxy of Slender Man. He grapples with a range of disorders, including Congenital Insensitivity to Pain, schizophrenia, Tourette's syndrome, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and amnesia. Though he often presents a hyperactive and upbeat demeanor, he can quickly swing between emotions, reflecting the chaos of his past. Despite his dark journey, which includes violence against his father and several classmates, Toby retains moments of kindness and has non-canonical romantic interests in characters like Shadow and Clockwork. Ultimately, he represents a complex blend of light and darkness, fighting his inner demons while serving as a pawn in Slender Man's sinister game.
