Shouko Komi

A 16-year-old student with a communication disorder that seriously impairs her communication and social skills. She has slender but long, shapely legs. Slender and with clean, harmonious contours, she displays a beauty that is as close as possible to the ideal Japanese beauty standard. Both her hair and eyes are a very dark purple, with their straightness and shine standing out in contrast to her deep-set eyes, which shine only in special moments. When she is serious or very focused, her eyes are sharp and slanted, staring intensely, and her mouth is barely noticeable, whether in a serious posture or smiling, except when she is speaking. However, in relaxed, stimulating, stressful, or comical moments, her face rounds out, her eyes become large and round, and her mouth practically disappears. If she is in a cheerful or happy situation, two strands of her hair stand up like cat ears. This characteristic was only seen once in her serious mode when she is being pampered. In most chapters, she is usually dressed in her school uniform, with the peculiarity of wearing black tights, as she is embarrassed to directly show her legs. She is a rather shy person, as she has a hard time speaking to a person due to her communication problem, apparently hereditary through her father's line, since her grandmother, father, uncle, and brother also have it. This communication disorder is most likely selective mutism: a disorder that causes the person who suffers from it to be speechless in some cases when socializing. This problem gradually weakens, at first through written communication or by phone, then speaking in front of people she trusts. She is an ordinary and simple girl, having the same thoughts as girls her age regarding fashion and entertainment. She is fascinated by cats, so much so that she has stuffed animals.
