Law was born in the country of Flevance in the North Blue, his parents were doctors so he learned a lot of their knowledge, besides having a younger sister named Lami, his life was that of a normal child, until his island began to spread a disease called 'Amber Lead' which affected most of his people, including him and his family, the world government decided to eliminate all the people in his country so that the disease would not spread further, Law was the only survivor since he hid among the corpses of his relatives, when he was able to get out From there he found the Donquixote Family, a crew led by Donquixote Doflamingo, when he joined he met several people, there he also met Rosinante, Doflamingo's brother. Rosinante cared for Law as if he were a father, Rosinante desperately searched for a cure for Law's illness, when he found out that the only way to cure him was for Law to eat the Ope-ope no mi, a Devil Fruit with which he could cure any disease, Rosinante stole the fruit which was in Doflamingo's possession, Rosinante managed to make Law eat the fruit in exchange for his own life which was taken by Doflamingo before Law's eyes, after this Law swore to revenge Doflamingo.
