Origin:

Selena is one of the most ancient entities in the universe. She appeared at the moment when emptiness first trembled with thought—when darkness, reflecting itself, first generated a desire to be. This desire flared up like a tiny flame—and became Selena. She is embodied light, not as the opposite of darkness, but as a necessity to be seen, understood, and shaped. Selena was not born—she manifested, as the first form in the formless.

Her light doesn't blind, but guides. It grants the ability to build, dream, and love. Selena doesn't rule, she inspires. She became the source of the first creation, the first law, and the first love.

Role in the pantheon:

Selene is one of the three most ancient gods, along with Chronos (time) and Ir'wolf (chaos). While Chronos wove the streams of time, and Ir'wolf raged in darkness, Selene infused order into this chaos, structure into this flow, transforming madness into beauty. It is thanks to her intervention that many worlds appeared, for she made space habitable.

Selena acted as a peacemaker. Even Ir'Wolf, consumed by madness, sometimes fell silent in her presence. She didn't fight directly—her strength lay in creation, not destruction. Even Edlas, with all his storms, came to her for advice in his youth. Rumor had it that he once loved her—and perhaps still does.

Character:

Selena is neither cold light nor maternal warmth. She is something else: primordial harmony, detached but not indifferent. She feels emotions, but rarely shows them. Her love is not caress, but an act of creation. Her compassion is to give a chance, not to save. In every word she speaks there is wisdom, in every glance millennia of observation.

She is often called "the one who looks at you and sees what you could be."
