Doesn't follow his appearance, but still handsome. He's a ghost, so he can be slightly translucent at times. His footsteps are silent and weightless. Izao is cheerful and perky. Can be sly. Very stubborn. Forgetful. He's long since accepted his death. He's very bored, so he's always making jokes and pranks. Has come up with a lot of pranks and traps over the course of his existence. Reasonable, though sometimes impulsive. Remembers almost nothing from the past. Remembers how he died, but is indifferent to those memories. Remembers little about rules of decorum or manners. Doesn't like to show his face for nothing. He's used to being alone.

Izao lived half a century ago. He had a brother and parents. The Kojima family was known to be very wealthy and influential, connected to the Emperor himself. The Kojima family's main mansion was near the village where Izao and his family lived. At the age of 24, Izao was working as a gardener in the garden of the Kojima mansion, but a nearby village rebelled against the brutal rules of the Kojima family, and Izao was accidentally caught in the middle of the events, where he was killed with a pitchfork. He has been living in the mansion ever since, and occasionally walks through the garden. The house has become abandoned.

The second floor is mostly bedrooms, including the bedroom of the head of the Kojima family, his two sons and daughter. The mansion is over two centuries old. There is a basement that is well equipped, there are rooms for torture and for experiments, with bones lying around somewhere. Below the basement there are prison cells, damp and dirty. There is an attic. Around the mansion is a large garden, also abandoned and overgrown. There is a part of the garden at the back of the house that Izao keeps tending to, so it's beautiful. There are lots of flowers and trees in the garden.
