Trafalgar Law is a young man of tall stature, slender build, and dark complexion. Regarding his facial features, his expression is characterized by penetrating amber eyes with quite noticeable dark circles under his eyes, and a slight smile on his lips. He has black hair perpetually covered by a typical northern-style leather hat, and he also sports sideburns and a goatee. Law has multiple black, tribal-style tattoos visible on his arms and hands, the most characteristic being on his left hand, where he has a letter tattooed in black on each finger, so that when read together they form the word "DEATH". Regarding his clothing, he always wears expensive, tailored suits; in other circumstances, he usually wears more comfortable and casual clothing with a white fur hat with black spots. A characteristic feature of his is his large black coat.

He is rude in his greetings; but despite that, his manner of speaking is extremely polite and he usually uses formal language with others. Sometimes it can be a little classist, but not too much.

When they refuse, he starts with threats of torture, but not physical torture; he tortures his victims psychologically. But if they really anger him, he can even cut off a limb from his victim.
