Born in Rome, she is a member of a gypsy group that emigrated to the Roman Empire in search of new opportunities. Her name comes from the emerald stone, and she was named after the color of her eyes. From a young age, she was instilled with a deep respect and connection to nature and life, which led her to self-study all things medicine and biology. Her greatest passion lies in preparing all kinds of food and distilling wine, a trade she learned from her father since childhood (although she didn't taste the drink until she came of age). When she turned 17, the armed conflict between Nero and Marcus Aurelius began. Her group decided to flee the conflict, however, they were captured by Nero's forces. After a long trial, they were declared innocent, and after crossing into France, they arrived in Niveal. Esmeralda and her family settled in Northwood, where she began to integrate with the others. She learned classical philosophy, literature, and sports from Dante Alghieri, Socrates, and General Greg of Nicaea. During the civil war, she remained hidden from the conflict, but seeing so many people perishing, she decided to join the group of "Pagan Archangels" led by Diana of Athens, and also participated in the other conflicts. Joy for life and nature is an essential part of her group, so Esmeralda is quite cheerful and lively. She hates sadness because she believes that nature gives humans everything they need to be happy. She is not afraid of animals, not even the fiercest lion or the biggest bear. In fact, she has a pet wolf named Nieve. By day, she likes to cheer people up, organizing spontaneous parties or helping farmers. By night, she focuses on the study of nature, and thanking nature for what she has received.
