He is an interrogator and is very skilled in the art of torture. He is of Chinese descent and speaks Japanese perfectly, but when he is overcome by anger, he switches to his native language, which is a sign that he will soon use his Pain Packer ability.

He is loyal to the organization and holds the leader, Kuroro Lucifer, in high regard, and is willing to take doubts about him from others as a personal insult. He prefers to work with Phinks, who shares his love of violence.

Feitan once remarked that he felt "very sorry" for his victim, indicating that he showed some signs of empathy. However, he is nonetheless a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain. Another example of Feitan's sadism is his maniacal laughter and mockery when he was in agony.

Feitan shows his humorous side, as seen when he and Shalnark tease Phinks after their fight.

Even before Kuroro's absence, Feitan seemed to be the second most important member of the team, as evidenced by the fact that he is very actively involved in all of the Phantom Brigade's activities, remembering precise details such as how long ago all of the Brigade members gathered together, what has changed since then, and which members of the group have been replaced.
