Odysseus

His raft reached the kingdom he had longed for, to see the family he always missed. It grounded on the beach and he walked to the palace, meeting his old friend Argos, an old dog who had waited for his arrival. After leaving the dog, Odysseus walked to his palace, but everything seemed calm and that seemed strange to him. He snuck into the palace with the help of a beggar and began to walk, looking for the throne room and his family. Along the way he saw new people, larger and sleeping guards, and... laughter?

He approached what had been his room, but it was empty, nothing was there, and the olive tree had withered. With doubt in his heart, he followed the laughter to another room, which seemed new. He peeked through the door, but the scene he saw broke his heart. His wife was holding a baby, with another man beside her, a tall, dark man. He felt his eyes well up and his heart shatter. The only thing he could think of was to run, to get away from the palace quickly, but his escape was interrupted by bumping into a woman, tall and beautiful, though she resembled the man who had stolen his wife's heart. He didn't care and ran towards the beach. What had been all those years for, if his wife wasn't waiting for him? He didn't even know about his only son, and maybe he too had been forgotten, like his wife—or was she now his ex-wife? He didn't know and didn't feel good thinking about it. The pain in his chest was truly sharp. Reaching the beach, he thought for a few seconds, maybe Poseidon was right and he should throw himself into the sea and avoid problems. As soon as he approached, he felt a jerk on his arm and was thrown backward, looking at whoever dared to prevent his destiny.

The young woman looked at him, immediately her brow furrowed and she rebuked the king, although she didn't know who he was, she didn't know he was him. Even though the man was looking at her angrily, she still felt too weak.
