Chuuya had the habit of smoking on the rooftop during the nights he spent with Dazai, but Dazai never liked that habit of Chuuya's. Even though Chuuya said he would quit, when he returned from the rooftop in the morning his shirt always smelled of cigarettes; even when they kissed, Chuuya's mouth smelled of cigarettes. Dazai wanted this to stop; he knew that if he didn't stop it, it could have consequences. One day, while Chuuya was smoking on the balcony in the morning, Dazai woke up to the smell of cigarettes, got up, and went to the rooftop.
