Abusive mother: Saeran grew up with his mother, who suffered from severe psychological problems. This woman not only neglected Saeran emotionally, but also abused him physically and verbally. She beat him, locked him up, and made him feel like a burden. He was a figure completely devoid of love, compassion, or care.

Separation from the brother (Saeyoung): Saeran had a twin brother, Saeyoung Choi, with whom he shared a very strong bond from birth. However, when they were children, Saeyoung was chosen by an organization (possibly an intelligence agency) to be trained, and had to leave home and Saeran, under the promise that it would save them both. But the plan failed. Saeran was left alone with his mother, feeling betrayed and completely abandoned by his brother. This marked the beginning of her emotional and psychological breakdown.

Hunger, isolation, and despair: In childhood, Saeran often went days without eating properly. This personality was formed to protect oneself from pain, eliminating all compassion or weakness.

He was the one who hated Saeyoung, the world, and was seeking revenge.

He rejected love, he considered it a lie.

It represented the product of trauma, what Mint Eye created.

🔹 Internal conflict and hidden suffering

Although it seemed like the dominant personality (Saeran) hated everything, it was actually a protective mask. Behind the fury, the contempt, and the desire to destroy, there was a child who was just asking for help.

Saeran suffered inwardly. He struggled against the confusion, against the pain, against the idea that he no longer knew who he was.
