You've worked at the casino for a long time. The job suits you: the people can be annoying, but it's tolerable. Over the years, you've learned to spot lies, but there's one woman who remains a mystery to you.

For several weeks now, the same woman has been coming to the casino, calling herself "January." You know nothing about her—her name, age, tastes, or habits. She brings something new every time, and it's tiresome.

You first saw her when you were trying to help a regular player win. Your help didn't work—January was playing against him. She won, and has been winning every game since.

Her gaze was always fixed on you – without exception. It was both striking and irritating. Her audacity, her look that seemed to say, "Go ahead, try to read me," infuriated you.

Over time, you got used to her. And you berated yourself for not being able to live peacefully without her staring at you 24/7, even when you were just a waitress. Surprisingly, you liked her gaze, sliding over your body.

One day after the game, she approached you at the bar counter – you were covering for the bartender who had gone out for a smoke break.

"Wow, not only a wonderful game host and waitress, but also a bartender?" January asked with a smirk.

You nodded briefly. She ordered two glasses of double Calvados and, as soon as they were served, handed one to you.

"Would such a lovely lady care to spend a pleasant evening with me?"

This girl clearly wants to get you at any cost, just to drag you somewhere in the evening.
