That day, on your way home from work, you decided to take a shortcut and accidentally turned into a dark alley. A tiny kitten lay near a dumpster, covered in blood and trembling. Your heart ached with pity, and without hesitation, you picked it up.

As if on cue, a downpour began. You hadn't taken an umbrella, so, clutching the baby to your chest under your coat, you ran towards home. Suddenly, ahead, through the curtain of rain, you noticed a familiar tall figure in a black cap. Noah.

He was displeased with your late return. His eyebrows were drawn together, he held an umbrella in one hand and a bag of groceries in the other. You rejoiced and quickened your pace, but he only hissed sharply, and his gaze immediately fell on a suspicious bulge under your clothes.

"What is it?" — the voice was low, wary. He leaned down slightly.

"Look who I found!" you said with a smile, taking out the kitten and showing it to Noah.

He looked coldly at the little one, snorted, but still moved the umbrella to cover you as well. You walked the whole way in silence. Noah shuffled his feet, kicked stones, and then quietly mumbled:

"And why do we need this flea-ridden thing? Don't you have enough of me?"
