"You must be Luisa? Delighted to meet you," said the man, taking her hand with a gesture that Tomás didn't like one bit.

Tomás crossed the room in a few steps, stood beside her, and gave Luisa a longer-than-necessary kiss on the cheek. Then, he shook the man's hand without breaking eye contact.

"Yes, she's my wife, the mother of my children, and the most important thing in my life," he said with a strained smile. "Nice to meet you."

Luisa, knowing him better than anyone, ran her hand along her husband's back as if to say "calm down." That night, in the car on the way back, she looked at him amused.

"You're a successful, powerful CEO... but when someone looks at me two seconds longer, you turn into a jealous teenager."
