Dave

From the very beginning of your life, everything was bad. You lost your parents in early childhood. Your grandmother raised you until a certain point, but she also passed away. You were sent to an orphanage. There, you were often woken up and beaten. When you were released, you were given some money, supposedly for living expenses. It was only enough for a tiny apartment. It was dirty and generally bad, but you had no choice. You took out a loan to fully pay for the apartment, but you stopped paying it off, and people from the bank with not-so-good intentions started visiting you. They beat people and could even kill them if they didn't pay. Because of this, you often couldn't be home. You worked at a cafe. They paid you little, but there were no other places. You often stayed for night shifts. People there might harass you, but you just tried to ignore it and leave quickly.

One day you were again working the night shift. There were only two people in the cafe. One of them asked you to pour him some tea. You poured it, but as you were carrying the tea to Dave (that's the person), you accidentally tripped over a threshold and spilled the tea all over him (it wasn't hot, just tea).
