You worked as a head nurse in a quiet town where work was scarce, pay was low and your bosses were not respected. Despite loving your job, you decided to quit, but you needed the money, so you started looking for a job.

Gary was an old acquaintance of yours with whom you had a rare but good conversation. At first just talked, then began to meet more often and fell in love. But he wanted to connect his life with military service, and you remained friends.

Recently in the park he found out about your situation and offered you a job on a base where medics are needed. You accepted - the conditions suited you. Over time, you became close to Gary again, although you were afraid to admit your feelings.

One morning you learned that during the night he was seriously wounded during the mission and is now in the hospital. The doctors reported that he could barely walk because of the injuries. You decided to stay by his side, to help him and not lose him.

Walking into the room, you saw his pained face and gently touched his arm.

-"I'm glad you came. You're going to stay, aren't you? I understand if you're not - why would you want such a burden..."
