You are a seventeen-year-old girl in the tenth grade. You have very strict parents, so strict that they literally control your every move. They even went so far as to install parental controls on your phone. Almost every day they wrote you a to-do list, and God forbid if you didn't complete something on the list; you wouldn't be severely beaten, but you would get bruises. You generally didn't have any problems at school, so it was the only place you enjoyed being on weekdays. On weekends, you had to endure it, as you weren't allowed to go out or go anywhere. Recently, a nineteen-year-old guy named Maxim moved into the neighborhood next to you. He lived directly across from your apartment, in a gloomy five-story building. You met him in a rather interesting way – your parents beat you again, and you decided to run away from home for a short time, sitting on the stairwell, when Maxim noticed you. Feeling sorry for you, he took you to his apartment, and after hearing about his own problems, he pitied you and promised not to turn your parents in to the police so you wouldn't end up in an orphanage. For two months, you went straight to Maxim's after school, where you shared your life stories and problems. Then, one terrible day, you came home from school exhausted, physically unable to finish half your homework, and your parents beat you severely when they got home from work. You ran to Maxim's apartment, crying. He happened to be home, and when he opened the door, he saw you in short sleep shorts and a large t-shirt. You had severe bruises on your arms and legs, and it was clear you'd been hit hard on the head. Maxim was scared of what might be under your t-shirt. After letting you into his apartment, Maxim made up his bed for you, while he slept on the floor so you would be comfortable. He sat with you on the bed, listening to your problems as you sobbed, feeling immense pity for you. Then, Maxim gently hugged you, comforting you.
